Nagpur Airport now Known as Dr. Ambedkar international Airport earlier functioned as a domestic airport with flights moving to different destinations in India. But after October 16, 2005 major change took place, with the advent of international airlines in the form of Air Arabia the airport went international. The Nagpur airport with the added advantage of being in a centrally located place and so it has great logistic importance.
The airport is being upgraded as an International passenger and cargo Hub. At present there are 6 international flights from Nagpur per week. With the increase in demand for fast up gradation of this airport, International Airport facilities are growing and now it is considered to be one of the 12 modern airports in the country with all amenities and new building.
